I have a 2-week break now. I'm going to be doing work, but I am looking forward to Christmas AND my 17th birthday on January 1 (yep, I'm a New Years baby! ). I'm sorry I've been so dead on here lately. I'm dividing my break over working on my art portfolio, SAT studies, helping this old lady (who hired me) with wrapping presents, and other things. OH, I'm hoping to go see Princess and the Frog with my friends! If any of you have seen it already, tell me how it is!

OCTOBER--NOVEMBER FEATURES

I returned from trick-or-treating about an hour ago. Despite the fact that I'm sick (stuffy nose, hoarse throat, and a bit of a light head), I was actually very energetic tonight. I believe it's because the Halloween spirit is infused within me.

Yesterday, at school, I dressed as my evil twin. So, I wore a pink tank top, a super-short blue skirt, a pink bandana, and sparkly lipstick. I tried going around speaking in a high-pitched, ditzy, obnoxious voice, but I got bored of being a fake. So, when I went trick-or-treating, I dressed up as myself. It's more fun to be me, anyway. Also, I liked it when I got to tell people I was going as myself when they asked me what I was for Halloween.

Sorry I've been so lazy on DA lately--but hopefully that can be justified by my stress caused by schoolwork. =_=

Halloween's coming up--I am excited. So, for these new features, which will last through the end of November (since I was too busy to be able to update this journal), a bulk of them is pretty Halloweeny--or at least somewhat evocative of a gothic mood.

OCTOBER--NOVEMBER FEATURES

Disneyland has gone GOTH.[link]

I'm in love I'd love to attend, but I can only make do with fantasizing myself being there and hoping I can attend one in at least a couple of years, as I plan to go to college in Southern California (hello, CalArts! ). But I LOVE Disneyland's Halloween website! Unfortunately, it's only temporary, but I love how they designed atmosphere of the Disneyland castle to take on a gothic persona--now THAT'S my dream castle (not that there's anything wrong with the classic Disney Castle look, of course ).

This is my favorite time of the year--the crisp, melancholy atmosphere of autumn as the days get shorter and the leaves turn into dazzling hues of red. Not to mention all the stores are now selling Halloween merchandise--I went into Claires (YEAH, girly store! ) and they had a Halloween special. I bought a bat necklace, these crossbones knee-high socks, beautiful bat earrings, and a sparkly purple bat headband. I still need to decide what to dress up as for Halloween.
